Daily site report
The foreman logs hours, plant and delivery notes from site. The office finds them centralised, week by week.
| Worker | Site | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| A. Rossi | Europaallee | 42.5 |
| T. Kunz | Europaallee | 38.0 |
| M. Silva | Europaallee | 40.5 |
| Week total | 121.0 | |
Site hours still travel far too often on A5 sheets folded in four, collected on Friday, sometimes the following Monday. Delivery notes take the same route, when they do not stay in the glovebox. Back at the office, someone retypes it all into a spreadsheet before invoicing.
Cantaia opens a field portal reachable with a six-digit PIN, with no account and no installation. The foreman enters the day's report there: crew present and hours worked, plant and running hours, delivery notes with number, supplier and photo. The office sees reports arrive through the day.
What changes
Captured on site
A link and a PIN are enough. No account to create for the foreman, no app to install on his phone.
Hours centralised
Hours are grouped by week and by worker, across all sites. No retyping before payroll processing.
Delivery notes photographed
The note is photographed at delivery, with its number and supplier. It can be found again when checking the invoice.
Exports ready
Excel export of hours for accounting, PDF export of delivery notes for checking supplier invoices.
How it works
- Step 01
Turn on the portal
The portal is enabled project by project. A PIN is generated and handed to the foreman.
- Step 02
Set up the crew
The list of workers is recorded once per site, then offered on every report.
- Step 03
The report gets filled in
Crew, plant, delivery notes, remarks and weather. The report can be saved as a draft before submission.
- Step 04
The office centralises
Reports flow into the project and into the weekly view. The site manager locks the ones that are validated.
Who it is for
This solution is for companies that employ their own crews and invoice on a time-and-materials or measured basis. The gain is measured less in typing hours saved than in disputes avoided: an hour challenged three weeks later is settled with the day's report and the photo of the note, not with an approximate memory.
The hours captured also feed the project's financial tracking: set against the invoiced amount and purchase costs, they give a margin per site, without double entry in a separate tool.
Frequently asked
Does the foreman need an account?
No. He opens the site link and enters a six-digit PIN. The session stays valid for a week on his phone, so the code does not have to be retyped every morning.
What if the report contains a mistake?
As long as the site manager has not locked the report, it stays editable. Once locked, only the site manager can unlock it for correction.
In what form does the office get the data?
In a weekly on-screen view, with an Excel export for hours and a PDF export for delivery notes. Reports also stay viewable project by project.
Stop retyping Friday's hours
Turn the portal on for one site, hand the code to the foreman, watch the reports come in. No credit card.
